What the investigation needs to establish
Falling system pressure calls for investigation; it does not identify a hidden leak by itself. We consider visible radiator connections, previous appliance findings and the rate of loss. Where the installation permits, testing sections helps distinguish a pipework concern from other possible faults.
Bring the useful details
Keep earlier heating engineer notes and a record of gauge readings. Explain recent radiator changes or work beneath floors.
Keep the boundaries clear
Boiler servicing, gas work and unrelated appliance repairs are outside the package.
A method with a purpose
Pressure testing may form part of the investigation when the conditions suit it. We explain what the result supports and what remains uncertain.
